Kukulu Hale Kahiko

Aloha!

This past week the Bishop Museum Association Council and our Traditions of the Pacific cultural lecture series were privileged to have Uncle Francis Palani Sinenci share his knowledge of “Kukulu Hale Kahiko” or ancient traditional Hawaiian house building. Uncle Palani presented a lecture on Thursday evening and then a workshop Saturday, February 22 at the Atherton Halau, Bishop Museum.  Was a great hui or group of folks that gathered to learn this traditional art, including several ‘ohana from Kauai.

Please enjoy some of my photos from the Saturday workshop.

Mahalo for visiting my little blog!
