The Best of 2013, what’s up for 2014?

Aloha!  Can't say enough how special it has been this past 2013. The most important event this year is our newest-born grandson, Parker Nawa‘a Kepana... Rains, who was born in August. Makena and Kawai are the best big sister and brother that Nawa‘a could possibly have hoped for, and Arika and Michael are amazing parents.  Blessings abound!

Many changes happened this past year, many adventures continued, and many adventures began...  Amazing to see our life amassed in photos! Hard to believe we did so very much this past year.

This post is about "Nawa'a and his Wahi Pana, 2011."  I've posted five photo shows of photographs from 2013. It was extremely difficult to choose these photos because I shot more than 15,000! I edited my selection down to just over 800 photos, which is why I categorized my slide shows by subject, some professional, some personal, but all to enjoy...

2014 is starting to be very interesting as well. This year has already brought us a new apartment in Honolulu, and new adventures already planned:

  • Nu‘alolo Kai work trips are already scheduled for May,
  • Tahiti and the Marquesas scheduled on the Aranui again (Voyage 12; Mauruuru to the generous Wong Family and CPTM !) for the end of August and beginning of September,
  • Randy's busy with his many heiau projects on Kauai,
  • Several events planned associated with my new job at the Bishop Museum, and
  • Especially looking forward to spending more time with my family!

Hope you enjoy our photos showing a part of our life during 2013! Looking forward to 2014!  All the best to you for a most fortunate new year.
